THE NHS waiting list has finally started to come down.
The backlog of appointments fell by 70,000 last month, raising hopes of the first sustained drop outside of the pandemic in over a decade.
England's non-urgent care list fell to its lowest level for five months, at 7.57 million treatments.
There were 6.34m patients waiting, down by 77,000 from 6.42m.
