LAMINE YAMAL is in for a rough few days hearing about Nico Williams' first Euro 2024 goal.
Left-winger Williams opened his account for the tournament in the 4-1 win against Georgia on Sunday: which sent Spain through to a quarter-final showdown with Germany.
Yamal was once again superb on the opposite flank but the 16-year-old is still waiting for his first major tournament goal. And partner in crime Williams is not going to let him hear the end of it. The 21-year-old said: "This week he's going to have to put up with me because he hasn't scored.
"I hope that next time he can shut me up. We challenge each other and we complement each other very well."
Having missed a handful of good chances against the gutsy Georgians, who opened the scoring before falling apart in the second half, Yamal knows what he is in for.
