WHINING Liz Truss has claimed it is unfair to blame her for soaring mortgage rates.
The unapologetic former Prime Minister last night continued trying to whitewash her record.
During her brief 49-day spell at No 10, Truss announced a tax-cutting bonanza, with giveaways for the super-rich.
The carnage sent the pound tumbling and mortgage rates soaring from 3.95% to 5.75% on average.
Pension funds came close to collapse. She had to U-turn on nearly all her plans and sacked Chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng.
