TENS of thousands of Palestinians have fled to an overcrowded town at the southern end of Gaza in recent days, the UN says.
They arrived in Rafah in trucks, carts and on foot, overwhelming already full shelters and having to sleep rough.
Juliette Touma, from the UN's Relief and Works Agency, said: "People are using any empty space to build shacks. Some are sleeping in their cars, others in the open."
