A MAN accused of murdering PC Sharon Beshenivsky 18 years ago faced court yesterday following his extradition from Pakistan.
Piran Ditta Khan, 74, was held in January 2020 in a swoop near his home in Islamabad after cooperation between Pakistani authorities and UK police.
PC Beshenivsky, 38, was shot while responding to a robbery in Bradford, West Yorkshire, on November 18, 2005.
The mother of three had been an officer for just three months - and she was gunned down on daughter Lydia's fourth birthday. Her partner, PC Teresa Milburn, also suffered serious injuries after being shot in the shoulder.
