FOOTBALLER Brennan Johnson secretly funded turkey dinners to feed homeless and vulnerable people in his home city on Christmas Day.
The 22-year-old Spurs ace kept his donation quiet, but his generosity was revealed by Bal Bansal, who volunteers at the Guru Nanak's Mission, in Nottingham.
He posted: "Wanted to say a huge thank you to Brennan Johnson, who donated all the money for the food that we cooked tonight.
"An awesome chap! 150 meals cooked for the homeless &amp; some meals delivered to the A&amp;E (doctors and nurses) &amp; Fire and Police to say thank you for their hard work." Replying to a Spurs fan praising Johnson's donation, Bal added: "He doesn't like to talk about it, he just does it.
"He's a great lad. He didn't have to do it but wanted to. He's a great person." The charity donates food to the needy all year round, but Christmas is its busiest time.
Volunteers handed out meals in Nottingham city centre on Christmas night and also delivered to emergency workers on shift.
Johnson came through the ranks with Nottingham Forest before moving to Spurs in September for a fee of 47.5million.
It wasn't the first time the Wales international had shown Christmas spirit. Bal wrote: "Last year he donated several toys...&nbsp;to struggling families."
