FUEL prices are plummeting at the quickest rate so far this year.
The RAC said the prices of unleaded petrol and diesel at forecourts are nearly 7p cheaper than a month ago.
It also expects costs to fall to a three-year low.
Last Thursday, a litre of unleaded hit 136.15p on average - down 5p since the start of September. It is almost 7p lower than in August, saving nearly £4 for a fill-up.
