ISRAELI airstrikes have killed dozens more in the besieged Gazan city of Rafah.
Many victims of the attacks in the early hours yesterday were sheltering in tents outside the city, near the site of a fire which killed 45 people on Sunday.
Emergency workers and hospital officials said the latest strikes killed at least 37 Palestinians.
Shelling of the Tel al-Sultan district claimed 16 lives, while 21 died in a drone strike on tents near a hospital.
Abdel-Rahman Abu Ismail, from Gaza City who has been sheltering in Tel al-Sultan since December, said: "It was a night of horror."
He described hearing constant sounds of explosions.
