BRIDGET Phillipson yesterday sent a stark warning to fellow Cabinet ministers about the Budget.
The Education Secretary's remarks came after several of her Cabinet colleagues wrote directly to Prime Minister Keir Starmer expressing alarm over possible public spending cuts.
Ms Phillipson declined to comment on what she called private conversations. But she said ahead of the October 30 Budget: "All of us have to make some really tough choices."
