THE suspect in the assassination of a health insurance boss in New York may have been motivated by his resentment of big business, say investigators.
Ivy League graduate and maths prodigy Luigi Mangione's life appears to have changed after suffering a severe back injury in a surfing accident.
The subsequent surgery on a misaligned spine reportedly went wrong.
And when arrested six days after Brian Thompson, 50, was shot dead, the accused's items were said to include a 292-word document detailing his grievances against corporate greed and the healthcare industry in particular, said investigators.
It portrayed a man consumed by anger and disillusionment, seeking to lash out at what he saw as the root of society's ills, they added.
