MATT FITZPATRICK produced another miracle shot with his 9-iron at his final hole to win the RBC Heritage - and then joked: "I think I can retire now."

The Yorkshireman claimed the US Open title last June after a brilliant fairway bunker shot on the 72nd hole at Brookline to set up a closing par.

And the new world No.8 won his second PGA Tour title stroking the same club from 186 yards to one foot on the third play-off hole for a birdie to beat Jordan Spieth on Hilton Head Island.

"I think I can retire now," laughed Fitzpatrick. "It's hard to describe. It doesn't get better than this. It is the one I've always wanted to win.
