Teachers set to ballot for strike action

ENGLAND'S largest teaching union is considering further strikes amid warnings morale in schools has hit "an all-time low".

The National Education Union will today discuss whether to formally ballot members for industrial action over pay and funding.

An indicative ballot in England last week found 90.3% backed strike action for an above-inflation pay rise in 2024/25, on a turnout of 50.3%.
