SEWAGE was dumped off the coastline on average once every three minutes and 45 seconds last year, figures show.
The Labour Party analysed data from the Environment Agency and website Top of the Poops and found 141,777 sewage-dumping events across 137 of 139 coastal constituencies in England and Wales.
The beach hit by most discharges was New Brighton, on the Wirral in Merseyside.
