KEIR Starmer was praised by Donald Trump before they met for a two-hour dinner yesterday.
The PM, who Trump said was "very nice" and "very popular", visited Trump Tower while in New York for the UN General Assembly.
They were joined for their first face-to-face meeting by Foreign Secretary David Lammy.
A Government source said they discussed the so-called special relationship between the UK and the US and keeping close ties in the future.
