Week lost in the wild on trek to free pint

A FORMER soldier has survived a week in the wilderness after getting lost on his way to the most remote pub in Britain.

Ex-paratrooper Paul Conway, 67, disappeared during a trek to Inverie on the Knoydart peninsula an untamed area dubbed Scotland's "last great wilderness".

The alarm was raised on Sunday after he failed to arrive at The Old Forge, which offers a free pint to anyone who walks there.
