WE'VE GOT A SLOT TO PLAY FOUR

ARNE SLOT says a superb first half of the season gives him confidence his Liverpool side can fight on four fronts this season.

And he insists any slip-ups will be down to their rivals and not to contract rows or injuries.

The Dutchman is excited by the prospect of Liverpool going far in four competitions as they prepare for tonight's Carabao Cup semi-final first-leg clash at Tottenham.

When the Reds beat Chelsea at Wembley last February, there was hope it would be the first of a Quadruple in the season.

Yet within a few weeks, Manchester United had dumped them out of the FA Cup in a sevengoal thriller, their Premier League title charge had faltered, and Atalanta had stunned them in the Europa League.

The feeling was that Jurgen Klopp's side ran out of gas amid a demanding schedule littered with injury issues.
