DONALD Trump has lashed out at a presenter who dared to challenge his lies in a TV appearance after he was found to be a sex abuser.
At one point, the former president labelled CNN's Kaitlan Collins a "nasty person" during the hour-long "town hall".
The US news channel faced a firestorm of criticism for giving him the platform to air his proven lies.
Trump made false claims about the 2020 election, refused to denounce Vladimir Putin and attacked his sex abuse victim E. Jean Carroll.
Wednesday's appearance came a day after a jury found Trump liable for sexual abuse and defamation against the writer, who claims he raped her in a department store dressing room in the 1990s. The rape claim was not upheld.
He dismissed the New York court's verdict and any suggestion that it would hurt him in the polls. "This is a fake story, the made-up story," he said.
He later added: "I have no idea who the hell she is. She's a whack job."
