1 missing after gas explosion

ONE person was missing and three were rushed to hospital yesterday after a suspected gas blast reduced homes to rubble.

The explosion - which could be heard five miles away - damaged at least 20 properties and left the terraced street looking like "a war zone".

Eyewitnesses looked on in horror as a young boy was pulled from the ruins and rushed to hospital after a fireball ripped through the buildings.

Police confirmed one person was unaccounted for as they declared a major incident in Morriston, Swansea, at about 11.20am.
