SCOTS survivors of child abuse have united to climb Mount Everest to raise nearly £50,000 for a children's charity.The group set off in April to scale the world's highest peak with the aim of helping other kids through the NSPCC charity.Giles Moffatt, 51, who suffered abuse at Edinburgh Academy, brought together the 11-strong group of men and women to form Team Uprising.They travelled to Nepal in April to trek at ultra-high altitude in the Himalayas, reaching Everest Base Camp on April 12.Giles, who lives in Rye, East Sussex, said: "Eleven of us made it to base camp and one of us made it to the summit with support from our Sherpa guides.
