Councils revealed incidents of sewage seeping into dining areas, kitchens and classrooms.
Figures obtained by the Lib Dems from freedom of information found some 88 sewage spills across 11 council areas since 2019.
Latest schools stats relate to incidents of leaks leading to sewage coming into school buildings, such as through walls or ceilings.
