Shadow Work and Pensions Secretary Jonathan Ashworth will set out how AI could be used to analyse CVs and suggest jobs that match skillsets.
Ashworth will tell a think-tank today that Labour would use tech to transform the Department for Work and Pensions.
As well as tackling the &pound;8.3billion cost of fraud and error, it could also help the vulnerable get payments to which they are entitled.
Ashworth will say: "For too long, the DWP has been offering an analogue service in an AI age." He backs more machine learning and pattern detection techniques.
