No fancy footwork at the disco in table-topping stalemate
Bairns can't shoot lights out as Lions stand firm

FALKIRK moved back to the top but had to settle for a point as dogged Livingston held onto the only unbeaten record in the Championship.

The Bairns unveiled their new high-tech LED lighting system before kick-off but David Martindale's men weren't prepared to be dazzled under the disco lights.

Livingston's superb defensive performance blunted the threat of John McGlynn's side who controlled proceedings for long periods without being able to find a breakthrough.

Falkirk edge a point clear of Ayr United at the top of the table with Livingston just a further two points behind in third place.

Bairns boss McGlynn said: "The first half was very even but I thought we dominated the second half and deserved to win.

"But we're top of the league, they're Premiership last year, we were League One.

"Nineteen points from eight games isn't a bad return. This could be a valuable point."

Both teams have obvious strengths which make them real contenders in another thrilling second tier campaign.
