A CHILD abuser who dodged jail in Australia has moved to Aberdeen to run a B&B.

Gary Bloom, 58, walked free with a suspended sentence after pleading guilty to three indecent assault charges from 1985.

His victim warned Bloom now has "unfettered access to children".

A PAEDOPHILE ex-teacher who avoided jail on the other side of the world is now running a B&B in Scotland.

Convicted child abuser Gary Bloom, 58, sparked fury when he walked free from court in Victoria, south-east Australia, with a three-year suspended sentence after pleading guilty to three charges of indecent assault.

The geologist, who has worked for oil companies such as Shell, was allowed by Aussie authorities to return to Aberdeen, where he was traced by the Record to a bed and breakfast in the city centre.

Meanwhile, his victim, who was 10 at the time of the attack, has told of his horror at watching Bloom evade justice, and said he now has "unfettered access to children in Scotland".

Reacting to the sentence, 49-year-old added: "I wanted to scream out but couldn't.
