Mid-Scotland and Fife MSP Mark Ruskell called for all parties to work together and learn from the situation at the Petroineos site in Grangemouth, where 400 jobs are now at risk.

Now, Ruskell is urging politicians, trade unions, workers and site operators to band together to "climate-proof" the Mossmorran plant with a green transition plan so it avoids a similar fate. A study by&nbsp;Transition Economics in 2022, commissioned by Ruskell, said the future of ExxonMobil's Mossmorran should be secured by turning it into a clean energy hub.
Ruskell said: "The shock announcement at Grangemouth has made clear that workers, trade unions and communities must be at the forefront of our transition and the heart of our plans."
