CANCER FIGHT CHRIS: I AM OPTIMISTIC

SIR Chris Hoy has said he is feeling "optimistic" about his battle with cancer after undergoing more than four months of chemotherapy.

The Olympic cycling legend announced in February that he discovered he had cancer last year and said it came as a "huge shock, having had no symptoms".

He is now in his final round of chemotherapy and says he is focused on his recovery.

Speaking on his Sporting Misadventures podcast, the 48-year-old said: "I have been going through chemo for the past 18 weeks and I have got the final round coming up which I'm very excited about to get that behind me.
