SINGER Celine Dion dreams of returning to the stage despite having a rare disease.
The Canadian superstar suffers from the rare neurological disorder stiff-person syndrome.
It means the 55-year-old's body attacks her nerve cells and severely impacts mobility.
The extent of the Grammy winner's declining health was revealed by her sister Claudette, 75.
She said: "In both our dreams and hers, the goal is to return to the stage.
"In what capacity? I don't know."
"The vocal cords are muscles and the heart is also a muscle.
"This is what comes to get me. Because Celine's condition is a one out of a million cases, the scientists haven't done that much research because it doesn't affect that many people."
Since revealing her diagnosis, the My Heart Will Go On star has been forced to cancel shows.
Five months ago, she called off her Courage world tour, saying her condition "prevents her from performing.
Claudette has previously spoken about her sister's health.
She said: "It's an illness we know so little about.
"There are spasms.
They're impossible to control," she said.
"You know people&nbsp;who often jump up in the night because of a cramp in the leg or the calf? "It's a bit like that but in all muscles. There's little we can do to support her, to alleviate her pain."
