A SCHOOL yearbook profile for the Scot accused of spying for Beijing joked he would one day end up in jail.
It also revealed playful school nicknames such as “cash machine”, “ATM” and “Tobin Jnr” – a possible reference to serial killer Peter Tobin.
The Record cannot for legal reasons name the Edinburgh man who was arrested on suspicion of spying for China.
But he is a Scot who attended a private school and one of the country’s top universities before going to work in China and London.
