Comedy writer's legal threat over Fringe show axe

Graham FATHER Ted co-creator Linehan has threatened to sue an Edinburgh Fringe venue after it axed his show following complaints over his views on transgender issues.

The writer, who has been critical of trans issues, was due to perform at Leith Arches this evening.

The venue said on Instagram that the Comedy Unleashed event had been cancelled after bosses learned the 55-year-old comedian would be a guest.

Leith Arches thanked "members of the public and our community for bringing to our attention details about Linehan.
