HUNTER'S BLUEPRINT FOR SCOTLAND

TYCOON Sir Tom Hunter wants Scotland to follow Ireland’s example to attract global investment.

The philanthropist, who is worth an estimated £700 million, called for corporation tax to be cut to 15 per cent in three key sectors to boost growth.

He also wants to see the UK and Scottish governments focus on growing renewables and low-carbon manufacture, life sciences and AI.

Hunter called economic growth in Scotland in the last decade “anaemic” compared to Ireland.
