THE years rolled back as Mavis and Rita were reunited again this week - more than 50 years since forging one of soap's greatest friendships behind the counter at The Kabin.
The pair's nattering, emotional dramas and frequent fallouts made them Coronation Street's answer to Thelma and Louise for nearly 30 years until Mavis quit in 1997 for a life in Cumbria.
