EXPERTS have called for all primary-aged kids to have access to a counsellor outside of school hours to help tackle rising classroom violence.
The Scottish Children's Services Coalition makes its demands as the Record's Our Kids... Our Future campaign aims to&nbsp;combat an epidemic of youth violence.
We revealed the extent of the issue on Thursday, with figures showing almost 11,000 primary school attacks reported by&nbsp;teaching staff from 2021-22.&nbsp;The Scottish Children's Services Coalition called.&nbsp;for more investment.
Spokesperson Alex Orr said: "It is critical we expand counselling&nbsp;services into primary and specialist schools. That's not just to support those who've been attacked but to support those carrying out the violence, who are deeply troubled. The ability&nbsp;to bring in counselling at a&nbsp;very early stage to try to intervene when we see these situations developing allows us to address them before an attack.
Our campaign calls on the Scottish Government to ring-fence funds for safe places for kids to go and for a social media crackdown on horrific online clips of attacks on kids.
