A HOVERCRAFT company BY MIKE MERRITT has offered to rescue and stuff in the way, that's why Britain's loneliest sheep from a rocky beach on the north-east coast.
The ewe has been stranded on the shore at the bottom of a cliff near Balintore, Easter Ross, for two years.
The Scottish SPCA said it was working on a rescue mission but stressed the operation would be incredibly complex" because the area is too difficult to use a dinghy or boat in.
The British Hovercraft Company has stepped in to offer its services.
Benn Bristow, its chief pilot, said: "There's quite a few rocks and stuff in the way, that's why boats can't get near it.
"By the look of it the hovercraft will fly straight over the top so we can get someone directly to where the sheep is located.
