A SCOTS DJ who confessed on YouTube to raping a sleeping woman has finally been convicted of committing the crime.
Despite his online admission two years ago, Craig Strachan claimed at trial he thought his victim was awake and consenting when he had sex with her in an Edinburgh flat in 2013. A jury took less than an hour to unanimously find him guilty.
The Record reported in February 2022 how vile. Strachan confessed to the crime but said he had "forgiven himself".
A former friend of the DJ spoke exclusively about the bizarre, "unsettling" online confession. Police then confirmed that they were investigating Strachan.
