Raducanu, 21, breezed past Belgium's Elise.
Mertens and into the third round at Wimbledon for just the second time with a straight sets win of 6-1 6-2.
She said: "I played very well, but I don't think it was my best match since the US Open.
"I've played a few matches I was, personally, probably happier with.
But, of course, today I'm very pleased with, again, how I handled situations.
