CAMPAIGNERS have warned that Scotland's shameful drug-death record is set to continue when the latest figures are announced today.
In 2021, 1330 people died because of drugs in Scotland a rate of 250 per million and the highest in Europe.
This was despite the Scottish Government declaring a drug-death emergency in 2019 after a Daily Record campaign.
As the 2033 are figures released, CEO of addiction charity Favor UK Annemarie Ward warned the loss of life was still "horrendous".
