MILLIONS of cash-strapped households face a jump of at least £240 a year in their must-pay bills from April.
A predicted £47 average rise in energy bills - following an increase yesterday - will come on top of expected uplifts in council tax, water rates and TV licences.
Mobile and broadband charges are also set to rise, along with train fare hikes.
Many retailers and other firms have indicated they will raise prices due to a hike in employers' national insurance from April.
