A OGRANDAD has begged his council to clear fly-tipping hosting a nest of rats that killed his pigeons and his granddaughter's rabbit.

Allan McWilliams says he has caught at least 100 rats in the past year in a rubbish-filled area behind his back garden.

Allan, 60, moved into his council home in Barrhead two years ago and says poison had been put down twice by council workers to try to solve the rat issue.
