Football tackle almost killed me twice

A DAD says he's lucky he didn't die TWICE after suffering horror injuries in a freak accident while playing football.

Jordan Spiers was left with lacerations to his spleen and kidney and three fractured ribs after colliding with another player.

And the 30-year-old goalie from Cumbernauld was later rushed back to hospital with a blood clot in his bladder.

Jordan who was playing for Carron Huskies against Corstorphine Dynamo in Edinburgh said his stomach felt like a bag of coins" after the clash.

He said: "It was an absolute freak accident. The player was running at me while I was running to collect the ball.
