A DAD has been left with lifechanging injuries after being buried alive in a horrific building site accident.
Construction worker Jordan Mackenzie was left trapped under freshly poured concrete for 30 minutes after a floor collapsed on top of him at a block of flats on July 19.
The 25-year-old suffered multiple bone fractures and chemical burns as he lay in pain fearing for his life.
He was only discovered after a colleague spotted his foot sticking out from the quick-drying mix and rubble.
The dad of one, from Crossgates, Fife, remains in hospital five months on as an accident probe by the Health and Safety Executive continues.
Recalling the terrifying incident, which took place at the former Bowhill Miners Institute in Cardenden, Jordan told the Record: "I was trapped under everything.
"The concrete fell down, along with the steel, and it all landed on top of me. It knocked me to the ground and I could feel myself struggling to move with the sheer weight of it all.
"I was in a lot of pain almost immediately then adrenaline kicked in and it wasn't long before all I felt was total panic.
"I was stuck for about 30 minutes.
