SCOTS tennis star Gordon Reid has revealed his best friend jokingly tried to offload his Paralympic gold medal to a pawn shop.

Reid, 32, clinched the Paralympic doubles title alongside partner Alfie Hewett at Roland Garros.

After the gruelling contest, Reid and his friends went out on a pub crawl in Paris to celebrate.

But his friend then took his gold medal into a pawn shop and asked: "How much do you get for that?"
