Scotland map took 30 years to create

HARRY'S A REAL ROCK STAR

A SCOTS grandad has been hailed a "rock star" by his proud family after collecting stones from around Scotland to make a stunning map of the nation.

Harry Young, of Newton Mearns, near Glasgow, began collecting rocks from every corner of the country in 1992, making a map with local stone from each area used for each section.

The 85-year-old amateur geologist said his delighted family have been stunned with his progress, after he finally set the pieces of the puzzle into place from more than 30 years of trips.
