RORY McILROY sealed a fifth Race to Dubai success before even teeing up in this week’s final event of the DP World Tour season.
The European circuit confirmed McIlroy will be the 2023 No.1 following yesterday's Nedbank Challenge.
Ryder Cup player Max Homa stunned the field in South Africa for his first victory outside of the States, a closing six-under 66 seeing him win by four shots on 19-under 269.
And with none of the contenders now able to catch McIlroy - including current Masters champion Jon Rahm in second spot - the Northern Irishman has won the Race to Dubai trophy five times.
