SERGIO GARCIA and Rory Mcllroy have kissed and made up - thanks to their wives.
Garcia's decision last summer to join LIV Golf caused a deep divide between the pair who had been friends for years. Bitter texts were exchanged and it looked like a truce would never be called.
As McIlroy became the unofficial spokesperson of the PGA Tour in opposition to the splinter group, a long friendship was obliterated.
The Northern Irishman and Spaniard had been pals well before playing together on the European Ryder Cup, and that relationship only grew with both pulling on the same team colours.
Mcllroy was also an usher at Garcia's wedding while the Garcias had been guests at Mcllroy's big day. But McIlroy recently revealed an explosive text-message exchange with Garcia, with the four-time Major winner saying: "He was basically telling me to shut up about LIV, blah, blah, blah."
McIlroy said he was "offended" by Garcia's words and replied with "a couple of daggers".
