THE Paisley-born granddaughter of circus owner Gerry Cottle has returned to Scotland as she carries on a family tradition going back 200 years.
Maddox Dock, 21, first hit the road with her parents when she was three days old, having been born while they were touring their Big Top act in Scotland.
She said: "The circus my mother and father worked in passed through here when I was three.
"My mum gave birth to me and I came straight back to my mum's caravan. Three days after my birth, I was travelling around with the circus.
"The show at the time was in Glasgow.
We continued the tour in places like Perth and Elgin." Cottle was a legendary circus owner and the owner of the Wookey Hall Caves attraction in Somerset.
