Gladiator Montell Douglas on Strictly & Olympic injury

MONTELL Douglas is the Gladiator, READY! to be a sensation on Strictly and hopes her experience on the game show will improve her moves on the dancefloor.

The Olympic sprinter, who holds the British woman's record for the fastest 100m, signed up as Gladiator Fire in the BBC's reboot last year.

Now in the line-up for the new series of Strictly, she says: "Fire is here to light up the ballroom. Wow, I am so honoured to have been asked to do the show. It is such an amazing thing to be a part of and I can't wait to get started.

"Hopefully a few of my Gladiator moves will come in handy with the tango or paso double."
