I thought it was a wind-up

THE Scottish singer drafted in to replace Olly Murs supporting Take That at the last minute has said he thought it was a "wind-up" when he was asked to rush to the arena.

Daniel Rooney was plucked from a hotel bar in Glasgow shortly after Murs was forced to cancel his support slot at the OVO Hydro on Friday because of a flight problem.

He was asked to fill in by TV presenter Ross King just 30 minutes before the show was due to start, as King was watching him play at the Radisson Hotel opposite the arena.
