JIMMY THELIN has praised his Aberdeen squad for storming to seven straight wins.

But the Swede insists nobody is getting carried away and everybody at the club has to remain humble.

Thelin has made the best start of any Dons manager, with five wins in the Premier Sports Cup including Saturday's 1-0, last-16 victory over Queen's Park - and two in the Premiership.

Aberdeen and Celtic are the only top-flight sides with a 100 per cent record but the boss knows it is still early days and there is plenty of room for improvement in his high-flying squad.

Thelin said: "You need some luck and to work hard. You also need a strong belief in what you are doing but we need to stay humble.

"We know it is really early in the season and there are a lot of games left. It is step by step and every training session. We need to keep doing that to achieve something together.
