I'M HAVING TO PAY FOR DRUG THAT COULD SAVE MY LIFE

A DESPERATE dad recently diagnosed with motor neurone disease has arrived in London to undergo a £3000 drug trial.

Mark Somerville, 43, received his first dose of Proleukin-otherwise known as immunotherapy drug interleukin-2- at the London Dermatology Clinic yesterday.

The dad of four and his wife Erika made the 400-mile trip from Uddingston, Lanarkshire, to receive the treatment, which is not available on the NHS.
