McDonald’s boss apologises after abuse claims by staff

THE boss of McDonald’s in the UK has apologised after more than 100 workers alleged they had been sexually harassed or assaulted or subjected to racism or bullying.

Alistair Macrow said the fast food giant had “fallen short” in some cases after the company spoke to dozens of workers.

McDonald’s UK and Ireland chief exec Macrow said: “Every one of the 177,000 employees in McDonald’s UK deserves to work in a safe, respectful and inclusive workplace.

“There are clearly instances where we have fallen short and for that we deeply apologise.
