NETFLIX bosses have been urged to back up claims made in Parliament that the real Baby Reindeer Martha is a "convicted stalker".
Giving evidence before the Culture Media and Sport Committee last week, Netflix executive Benjamin King told John Nicolson MP the show was "obviously a true story of the horrific abuse that the writer and protagonist Richard Gadd suffered at the hands of a convicted stalker".
Nicolson, the select committee chair, believes the evidence Netflix gave may have been inaccurate as the woman who inspired Martha, Scot Fiona Harvey, denies being a convicted stalker.
The Daily Record understands Harvey received a police warning for her conduct towards Gadd and was not convicted over earlier incidents in Scotland.
